InHouse Records is a multi-award-winning record label and creative platform developed with people in prison. Since 2016, it has created space for artists to write, record and release music—while building confidence, connection and a public voice. The programme has reported a reoffending rate of less than 1% among participants.

The work begins with a simple belief: talent, imagination and ambition exist everywhere, including in places where people are routinely denied the opportunity to be seen beyond a sentence or a stereotype.

Through collaborative songwriting, production and live performance, InHouse supports artists to tell their own stories on their own terms. Music becomes more than an outcome: it is a way to practise trust, develop skills, build collective purpose and imagine a life beyond the prison gate.

InHouse Records brings together artists, producers, educators and cultural partners to challenge who gets to make culture—and whose creativity is recognised. Its work has been recognised through awards including NatWest’s social-enterprise recognition and iF Social Impact Prize.
