Design, is a verb, an adjective and a noun, it’s definition varies depending on whom you speak to. My studio views
design as a conversation. A conversation that takes place across Space, Time & CultureThe principles for this conversation are: transparency, befriending failure and embracing interdependence, as we find in nature through the harmony of chaos & Antifragility.
This conversation is for all who occupy the problem area. My role as a designer is that of a "host" serving but never controlling. Carefully inviting all who are in the problem space to join the conversation as co-creators of multiple change initiatives. One project is rarely enough, systemic change demands a plurality of projects to address complex needs.
What is the conversation for? Empowering those in the problem space to solve their own problems, create their own change & find the capacity to solve their future challenges. Created "by" and "with" all who occupy the problem area, ensuring we nurture not just divergent thinking but the thinking of diverse stakeholders in safe & enabling environments.
